Success Grade:
The scores obtained from the exams are evaluated out of 100 and the success score is determined. The success status in a course is determined by the success grade. The success grade is determined by evaluating the mid-term success grade obtained in the studies carried out during the semester for that course together with the success grade obtained in the general exams held at the end of the semester. The studies carried out during the semester are; attendance status in courses and practices, field studies, practices, homework, projects, internships, workshops, seminars, laboratories and similar studies. In determining the student's mid-term success grade, these studies can be evaluated together with a certain amount of mid-term exam in the last week of the semester determined in the academic calendar. The effect of the general exam on the course success grade can be at least 40% and at most 60%. The effect rates of the mid-term success grade and the general exam on the success grade and the application method of the mid-term studies for the student to be considered successful are announced to the students by the instructor responsible for the course within the first two weeks of the semester.
A relative evaluation system is used in calculating the success grade. In relative evaluation, the arithmetic average and statistical distribution of course success points received by all students taking that course are taken into account. The application principles of the relative evaluation system are determined by the Senate.
Course success grades and coefficients are determined as follows:
Success Grades (in letters) Coefficients
AA 4.00
BA 3.50
BB 3.00
CB 2.50
CC 2.00
DC 1.50
DD 1.00
FD 0.50
FF 0.00
MU -
DZ 0.00
GR 0.00
Success Grades;
1) A student who receives one of the grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course is considered to have passed that course unconditionally.
2) DC and DD grades received from a course indicate that the course has been conditionally passed.
3) FD and FF grades indicate failed courses.
4) DZ grade indicates failed courses where the attendance requirement in Article 15 of this Regulation has not been met.
5) GR grade is given for courses that have not been taken in the semester/year-end or make-up exam.
6) DZ and GR grades are treated as FF and are included in the ANO and CGPA calculations.
7) MU grade is given for courses from which the student is considered exempt.
Weighted grade point average and weighted general grade point average
Weighted grade point average (ANO); is the value obtained by multiplying the success grade coefficient obtained by the student from each of the courses taken in a semester/year by the ECTS credits of that course and dividing the total of the numbers obtained by dividing it by the total ECTS credits of the courses in that semester/year.
Weighted general grade point average (CGPA); is the value obtained by dividing the total of the numbers obtained by multiplying the success grade coefficient obtained by the student from each of the courses taken from the first semester/year to the end of that semester/year by the total ECTS credits of all the courses taken until that semester/year. When determining the CGPA as of the end of the registered semester/year, the courses not taken from the lower semesters/years are not taken into account.
Graduation Requirements
In order for a student to graduate from the Department of Plant Production and Technologies program, the following conditions must be met:
To pass all courses in the course plan with 243 ECTS credits,
To have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00,
To complete a compulsory internship for 30 working days
